The monitor queries the appropriate WHOIS service and follows the registrar WHOIS server for supported domains. If WHOIS does not provide a usable expiry date, it attempts RDAP.

The current monitor form offers 30, 14, 7, and 1-day warning thresholds. You can enable the windows that match your renewal process.
Does domain monitoring replace registrar auto-renew?
No. Auto-renew remains the primary control. Domain monitoring is an independent alert when registration data enters a risk window or cannot be read.
