Stack comparison methodology
This page explains the assumptions behind the editable cost comparison. Pricing changes, so please report an outdated figure to support@servicealert.ai.
Scope and pricing sources reviewed: 16 August 2026.
Example comparison
The default scenario represents a mid-market IT or SRE team of about 10 engineers using separate products for uptime monitoring, provider status, incident response, and a hosted status page.
ServiceAlert cost in the same scenario
The ServiceAlert Business plan is $249/month with unlimited users, or $2,988/year at the current monthly price. A valid comparison still depends on check volume, required integrations, and whether a specialized product remains necessary.
The interactive calculator starts with an editable $100K enterprise-style example across synthetics, vendor-status aggregation, status pages, on-call, and incident response. That is a scenario, not a universal savings claim: turn off anything you do not buy and replace every line with your contracted cost.
What the comparison does not include
- Full APM and distributed tracing. ServiceAlert provides privacy-friendly Web Analytics and Core Web Vitals through its browser snippet, but it does not collect application traces, profiles, or backend code-level telemetry. If you need full APM, buy it separately.
- EDR / endpoint security. Different problem domain.
- Brand protection and digital risk protection. We separated those features into SecurityAlert.ai, our sister product. ServiceAlert covers monitoring; SecurityAlert covers DRP, brand monitoring, and threat intelligence.
- Advanced certificate lifecycle management. ServiceAlert includes basic SSL monitoring, but issuance, automated renewal, governance, deployment, policy, and audit workflows belong in SecurityAlert.ai.
- Log aggregation and SIEM. Outside our scope.
Use your own costs
If you're already paying only for third-party status aggregation and simple uptime, your number will be lower. We don't claim ServiceAlert.ai is a better fit for everyone; the unified bundle is most compelling for teams stitching together vendor status, owned-service checks, on-call, incidents, and customer communications.
We encourage you to open our interactive TCO calculator and swap in your own vendor numbers. The calculator lets you edit each line.
